Session Hosting Guide

Welcome to the official Golden Glades Middle Session Hosting Guide. As a host, you are the backbone of our school's operation. Please follow these procedures to ensure a professional and enjoyable experience for all students and staff.

I. Pre-Session Checklist​

Before starting, ensure all requirements are met to prevent mid-session issues.

  • User Authorization: Confirm you have hosting permissions. Contact the Director or Vice Director if you are unsure.
  • Server Verification: Check that the automated school systems (bells, systems) are active. Notify a Developer immediately if any systems are unresponsive.
  • Staff Check-In: Verify you have enough staff and instructors. Ensure they are prepared to cover our core subjects: Science, Cooking, English, Drama, Gym, History, and Art.
  • Class Assignments: Assign Subs and Teaching Aides to classrooms and ensure Hall Monitors are stationed at high-traffic areas.
  • Announcements: Post your announcements to the Group Announcements using the templates below.

III. In-Game Server Messages (:sm)​

Use these commands to keep the student body informed throughout the day.

  • Session Start: :sm [SESSION] 🔔 A new session has begun. Students, head on down to the cafeteria to have a delicious breakfast!
  • First Bell: :sm [FIRST BELL] 🔔 Class is now in session! Students, please find your way to your designated class located at the top of your screen. Late arrivals will need a pass from the main office!
  • Transition: :sm [TRANSITION] 🔔 The bell has rung for Period [Number]! All students, please report to your designated classrooms. Staff will begin hall sweeps soon! 🏫
  • Dismissal: :sm [DISMISSAL] 🔔 Thank you for coming to Golden Glades Middle. Don't forget to join our Roblox group for updates! ✨

Maintain this schedule strictly to keep the school running on time. All times are in EST, the bell system will display the current time in EST.

V. Administrative Commands​

Administrators must use these tools responsibly to maintain order.

  • :sm [message] – Important school-wide intercom alerts.
  • :info [username] – Verify user account age and membership type.
  • :ff [username] – Provide ForceField for protection or spawn management.
  • :glow [username] – Highlight player (used by Security and School Administrators during passing periods).
  • :playmusic [ID] [true/false] / :stopmusic – Used during passing periods, lunch, and breaks. At the end of the command, type true or false for the loop setting. (Set to true by default.)

VII. Pro-Tips for Hosts​

  • Encourage Engagement
  • Visual Check: During transitions, use the :glow command on students who seem lost to help them find their way, and use it on yourself to remain visible to staff.
